Experience

  • Vicente Lines’ practice spans 20 years of experience in complex transactions, acquisitions, financing, and adverse negotiations involving regulated industries, corporate law, minority shareholder rights, real estate, and other complex legal matters involving private companies, the Costa Rican government, and international multilateral finance. Institutions.
  • His experience in the energy and infrastructure area has involved the financing of fossil fuel power plants in Honduras, acting as regulatory advisor and part of the team involved in the preparation of the regulatory analysis of the acquisition of clean energy assets in Central America, advisor to the acquirer of the second private utility-scale photovoltaic generation facility, an active member of the Costa Rican Solar Energy Association during the effort to pressure the government to approve regulations to promote distributed generation, advisor to multiple transactions to acquire solar energy facilities wind power.

  • In his career as a transactional attorney, Vicente has worked with regional, US and European investors in the private sector, on mergers and acquisitions in industries as diverse as auto retailing, packaged food, beverage, telecommunications, and real estate development.
