Roberto Hernández García is experienced in national and international construction projects. He has acted as counsellor in transactional and dispute work on projects related to transmission lines, substations, highways, trains, airports and oil facilities, among others.
He has served as co-chair of the International Bar Association (IBA) international construction projects committee; chair of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Mexico construction disputes committee; and as a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law international construction steering committee.
He is consulting editor of Construction and Infrastructure Disputes; author of Construction Law in Mexico: perspectives and challenges; and a fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and the International Academy of Construction Lawyers.
He has a degree and Master’s degree in Law from the Universidad Panamericana.
He specializes in public procurement, construction law, anti-corruption and alternative means of dispute resolution. It collaborates with multinational construction companies, information technology companies with a global presence; architects and designers offices; companies that develop electric power, oil and gas projects, among many others. He has headed and participated in multiplex working groups in the areas of construction, public contracting and anti-corruption in relevant organizations such as ICC Mexico, the International Bar Association (IBA); Barra Mexicana, Bar Association; ANADE and the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry.
He is personally recognized by Chambers and Partners (Global and Latin America), WhosWhoLegal, Legal 500, LACCA and Top Ranked Legal as a specialist lawyer in these matters.
He is a frequent speaker at national and international forums on topics related to his practice areas, having participated in events organized in more than 15 countries.
