Gabriel Sánchez

Gabriel Sánchez is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz.

His practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate law.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Gabriel worked as in-house lawyer for the Bogotá´s Chamber of Commerce.  He was an international intern at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP (New York office) between 2012 and 2013, in the finance and M&A departments, where he was involved in various project finance transactions representing lenders and insurers in infrastructure deals in Latin America and in M&A deals in Colombia.

He has been involved in numerous successful local and cross border M&A deals, both in the seller and buyer sides and has also advised clients in their corporate matters such as corporate governance compliance, boards, conflict issues, contracts, shareholder disputes and stockholder agreements, among others.

He received a J.D. from Universidad Javeriana and has post-graduate degrees in Economics from Universidad de los Andes and in corporate law from Universidad Javeriana. He has been a professor in the Corporate Law post graduate program at Universidad Javeriana. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
