Ricardo Marletti Debatin da Silveira has been in the firm’s tax area since 1993, having been promoted to partner in 2005. He has extensive experience in the areas of indirect taxes, customs taxes, M&A, and tax litigation. For over 27 years, he has built strong relationships with strategic clients, especially in the automotive, renewable energy, services, and technology sectors.
With a strong international profile, Ricardo is one of the partners responsible for the firm’s front line abroad and for advising multinationals in structuring their business in Brazil. He often works with the most respected international law firms for mutual clients. He has been a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) tax committee for more than 10 years, and a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He is part of the Executive Board of the Latin American Tax and Legal Network (LATAXNET), a network of law firms that covers the Latin America, and he is the firm’s representative before WTS Global, an international network with a focus on and recognized leadership in the tax area, present in more than 100 countries.
