Education

Doctorate (2015) and degree in Law from the University of Valladolid in 1995, with studies in Commercial Law at the University of Linz (Austria), Diploma in Computer Law from UNED. Diploma of Advanced Studies by ICADE. Member of the Madrid Bar Association since 1996, Industrial Property Collegiate Agent, and authorized official representative before the European Patent Office and the Community Trademark and Designs Office (OHIM). He has been Associate Professor of the Department of Private Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid (2001-2005) and is currently adjunct professor of Civil Law at the Univ. Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE).

Ignacio has extensive experience in both Industrial and Intellectual Property, subjects that he combines daily and dominates with rigor and security, both in the registry and judicial branch of Patents and Trademarks, as well as in the contractual and litigious aspects of New Technologies and Rights of Author, subject on which his doctoral thesis is about. He is a regular lecturer in forums and Masters of his specialty, and the author of various national and international publications and articles on these matters.

Ignacio is also a member of various committees and professional associations (INTA, ECTA, MARQUES, etc.) and has been recognized as one of the most prominent lawyers in Spain in these fields by publications such as “Chambers” (Tier 2), “Legal 500” , “WTR” and “Best Lawyers”.
