Jesús Varela joined Pérez-Llorca in September 2020. Prior to joining, he was Managing Partner for Spain and Head of Spanish Real Estate at a global law firm and, before that, partner in the real estate practice at a magic circle law firm, based in Madrid.

Experience

Jesús Varela’s practice focuses on NPL portfolio trades, real estate financings for banks and non-banks (direct lending), special situations in the real estate field, asset deals and share deals (generally, on the buy side of those deals), fund formation and joint ventures in all the segments and products on the Spanish real estate market (build-to-rent residential, co-living, offices and co-working space, retail, logistics, hospitality, healthcare, student accommodation, and more). Recently, Jesús has advised top international investors, developers and lenders on the most significant real estate deals, in terms of size and complexity, in Spain.
