As a partner of the firm, Ján leads the practice in the field of infrastructure projects and public procurement law. Of his more than 23 years of practice, 14 years were spent in the field of public procurement.

Ján’s practice focuses on infrastructure projects, PPP and project financing, public procurement, the laws governing electronic communications, and general commercial law. Over the years, he has acquired ample experience by participating in major PPP projects and several public procurement proceedings (including project management) on both local and international levels. He regularly contributes to legal publications and is frequently invited to speak at professional events.

From 2013 to 2019, Ján was a member of the Board of the Public Procurement Office, the body deciding on appeals in procurement procedures.

Ján is the leading author of the Commentary to the Public Procurement Act published by C.H.Beck in late 2019, and the Commentary to the Register of Public Sector Partners Act, published in May 2021 thereby.

Under Ján’s leadership, the firm’s practice in this area was awarded the prestigious Law Firm of the Year award in the Public Procurement category, eleven times in a row, from 2013 to 2023.

Ján is fluent in English and has a good working knowledge of German.
