Elena Corte is a highly specialized food lawyer.

Her activity concentrates on offering judicial and extrajudicial legal assistance to food business operators.  She has highly specialized technical skills in food safety and hygiene.

As a criminal food lawyer, Elena assists defendants in criminal proceedings related to food, the most common being food fraud or crimes due to breaches in food safety and hygiene regulations.

In addition, Elena assists food companies in challenging regulatory sanctions related to the marketing of food and beverages, breaches of HACCP procedures, and labelling and advertisement of food and other consumer goods.

Elena assists companies in product withdrawals, recalls, RASFF procedures due to health hazards for consumers. She has wide experience in the management of crises with important media resonance.

In assisting food companies and large scale retailers, Elena has developed specific expertise in dealing with other sectors which are strictly related to food (food contact material, toys, petfood, etc.) and environmental matters (waste, discharges, etc.) .

Career

Elena graduated from the University of Milan in 2000 and immediately began working at Studio Legale Corte.  She was admitted to the Milan Bar Association in 2004 and was made partner of the firm the same year.
