In 1992, after working as a Patent engineer in one of the major enterprises for the research and production of medical equipment, Mrs. Solovyova transferred to St. Petersburg’s first Private Patent Attorney agency, where she worked as a patent expert specializing in trademarks.
In 1993, in partnership with V. Rybakov and V. Sergeev, Mrs. Solovyova established the Intellectual Property Law Firm “ARS-Patent”.
Mrs. Solovyova has extensive experience in the registration of trademarks in Russia and CIS countries, the international registration of trademarks in accordance to the Madrid Agreement, and in matters associated with the registration of cession and license agreements. Mrs. Solovyova is well-recognized for successfully litigating the Clients’ interests before the Chamber of Patent Disputes of the Russian PTO, the Arbitration Tribunal, and the Antimonopoly Committee and has successfully represented Clients in IP matters in the Chamber of Patent Disputes, customs authorities, arbitration and anti-monopoly bodies.
Mrs. Solovyova has written numerous scientific works devoted to the litigation techniques of well-known trademarks in the Russian Federation and CIS countries and is an active member of numerous committees that focus on the protection of trademarks and intellectual property.
Mrs. Solovyova has been listed, as one of the world’s leading practitioners in the legal field, in “The International Who’s Who of Trademark Lawyers 2010” directory published by Who’s Who Legal. Mrs. Solovyova has also been repeatedly selected as “Lawyer of the Year” in IP area, and included into the “Russia’s Best Lawyers®” edition published by Best Lawyers, USA in 2009-2012.
Mrs. Elena Solovyova graduated from the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University (LETI) in 1990 with a M. Sc. in electrical engineering and a specialization in biomedical electronics and environmental protection. Mrs. Solovyova obtained a patent agent certificate from the Russian Intellectual Property and Innovations Institute. In 1998, Mrs. Solovyova wrote her dissertation on renowned trademarks in the Russian Federation, earning a Ph.D. in jurisprudence.
In 1995, Mrs. Solovyova was certified as a Trademark Attorney, with a specialization in “Trademarks”.
