Andy Dietderich is Co-Head of our Global Finance & Restructuring Group and one of the leading transactional restructuring lawyers in the United States. A career-long S&C generalist, Andy started S&C’s multi-disciplinary restructuring practice in 2008 and has overseen its growth and expansion. The practice is unique among restructuring practices in its approach to corporate governance and its employment of new and creative solutions to restructuring impasses. Chambers recognizes Andy as a “strategy genius, who is able to boil down complex concepts into things clients can easily understand.” Andy has led successful out-of-court restructurings and liability management transactions of every type, including in many cases where bankruptcy filings were thought inevitable but ultimately avoided. Andy also has led in-court representations of debtors, plan sponsors and proactive creditors in some of the largest and most challenging chapter 11 cases over the past decade, including Garrett MotionCalifornia Resources CorporationLSC CommunicationsSunEdisonEastman KodakEnergy Future HoldingsChryslerCaesars and General Growth Properties.
