As we anticipated in our Flash 2022 – 19, on December 28, Law 38/2022, of December 27, was published, which includes the creation of the Temporary Solidarity Tax for Great Fortunes (hereinafter, the “ Solidarity tax ”). The Tax is applied in the 2022 and 2023 financial years itself, after having passed the parliamentary process without the proposal of the regulatory text having undergone modifications.
This new tax is designed to tax tax residents and wealth located in autonomous communities where the Wealth Tax is subsidized in whole or in part (fundamentally, the Community of Madrid and Andalusia).
