Pharmaceutical Register of the Eurasian Patent Office
The Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) officially announced that a new service Pharmaceutical Register of the Eurasian Patent Office was launched on March 1, 2021, and it is publicly available on the EAPO web-portal.
The current version of the Register is available through the link: https://www.eapo.org/ru/patents/reestr/sfarma.php (in Russian only).
The Register comprises a list of Eurasian patents which relate to pharmacologically active ingredients with International Nonproprietary Names (INN) as well as information about corresponding drugs registered in Eurasian state-members if available.
According to the Eurasian Patent Office, the Register is intended to provide all concerned parties with information about drugs protected with Eurasian patents along with data on legal status of such patents, including validity in each of Eurasian state-members, patent term extension, licenses, etc. In addition to patents protecting products, i.e. particular chemical compounds or a group thereof defined with a Markush structure, biotechnological products, compositions, Eurasian patents on drug manufacture processes or on therapeutic methods and uses of products may be included into the Register.
To have a Eurasian patent indicated in the Register, the patentee shall file a special motion.
