The leading law firm recently received ISO 14001 certification, which allows companies to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection through the management of environmental risks associated with their activities.
With this certification, DLA Piper Chile is one of the pioneering firms in this initiative. For Matías Zegers, managing partner of the firm, this is “excellent news for our office, it presents us with a new challenge to take care for our environment and we will continue to integrate environmental considerations in all areas. There was outstanding work by all the members of our firm to achieve this, so we are very proud,” he stated.
Meanwhile, for Marco Salgado, partner of DLA Piper Chile and regional ESG leader, this recognition shows great progress. “There is exceptional work to meet international standards, which requires us to maintain a correct understanding of duty of care and continue to create sustainable value in our advice,” he added.
This certification, delivered by NQA, a global certification organization, highlighted DLA Piper Chile’s legal practice and its associated activities at a high standard.
