Back to All Thought Leadership

Liedekerke Great Lakes is proud to have assisted CHANCEN International in its first close of their $21M Future of Work Fund (FWF) domiciled at the Kigali International Financial Centre. CHANCEN International is a not-for-profit organisation providing youth in Africa access to quality tertiary education through an ethical, fair, and responsible financing model. This model allows students to focus on their studies now and worry about their debt only once their income has reached sufficient levels to provide for their needs.

The $21M Future of Work Fund will provide 10,000 youths, particularly women and other traditionally excluded populations, with financing for their studies. Contributing greatly to Rwanda’s targets of creating 250,000 new jobs every year through vocational training and create universal access to high quality education for all Rwandans by 2050.

The Rwandan team that advised CHANCEN International in the closing of the fund consisted of Ismael Jr. Amri Sued, Senior Associate, Penina Ngabire, Associate and Gegeyi Umuvyeyi, Associate in collaboration with Damien Conem, Partner from our Brussels office.
