International arbitrator and litigation attorney Luis O’Naghten joins Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as partner in the Miami office where he will spearhead the firm’s growing international arbitration practice. O’Naghten adds significant experience as both party counsel and as an arbitrator, particularly in matters involving complex disputes in Latin America.

O’Naghten is past chair of the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS) and co-chairs MIAS’ Annual LatAm Investor-State Arbitration Conference. Fluent in both English and Spanish, O’Naghten has vast experience handling matters that fall under International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) rules, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules, The Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (IACAC) rules, American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA/ICDR) rules.
