Swiss sanctions against Russia – Adoption of further measures

The Swiss Federal Council continues aligning the Swiss sanctions regime to the EU sanctions against Russia. On January 25, 2023, the Swiss Federal Council enacted further sanctions against Russia, in line with the 9^th sanctions package adopted by the European Union (EU). The new measures relate to bans on product testing, advertising, market research and opinion polling services, as well as the export ban on aircraft and drones. In addition, new investments in the Russian mining sector are now prohibited.
