Despite the fact that there has been parity in education for decades, this is not reflected in the position of partners in law firms. It is urgent to implement equity and diversity strategies, create support networks among lawyers and that clients continue demanding minimum equity requirements in their consultancies.
The National Association of Law Placement of the United States – National Association of Law Placement – ​​since 2009 has been making periodic reports in order to analyze the progress and evolution of the representation of women in law firms. In the report for the year 2020, it is evident that since 1993 there has been a continuous and growing representation of women partners in the firms , which by the year 2020 reflected 25.05 percent of the lawyers who hold the position of partners in United States.
