Paola Corte

Paola Corte is a highly specialized food lawyer.

Her activity concentrates on offering legal advice and judicial assistance to food business operators.  She has highly specialized legal knowledge and technical skills relating to food production and communication with consumers.

As a consultant, Paola assists food business operators in developing products and creating the communication campaigns, by  offering legal advice related to the legal compliance of  food composition, production techniques, labelling, advertising, distribution and administration of food and beverages and similar products. The same activity is carried out for food related products (such as food contact materials) and other consumer goods (pet food, toys, etc.)

Paola assists food business operators and trade associations in assessing the impact of draft and new legislation.

Paola carries out defensive activity in the courts, both by challenging regulatory sanctions imposed by supervisory bodies on food business operators, and by defending defendants in criminal proceedings relating to the production, marketing and administering of food and beverages, and other consumer goods.

Paola Corte has held several courses for food business operators on food law and food labeling.  She is regularly asked to be a speaker or chair for national and international food-related conferences.

Career

Paola graduated from the University of Milan in 2003 and immediately began working at Studio Legale Corte.  She was admitted to the Milan Bar Association in 2008 and was made partner of the firm that same year.  Paola taught food law at LUISS Business School in Rome for three years (2021-2023).
