Immigration procedures are simplified for Peruvians

On December 30, 2023, Superintendence Resolution No. 000205-2023-MIGRATIONS was published, amending the Single Text of Administrative Procedures – TUPA of the National Superintendence of Migrations – MIGRACIONES. Below, we detail the most relevant modifications: • The requirement for the issuance of the ordinary electronic passport is eliminated: For the issuance of the ordinary electronic passport, it is sufficient to have the National Identity Document – DNI in good condition, without it being necessary for it to have the proof of having voted in the elections in which it was due to vote or of having paid the fine. • Recovery of Peruvian Nationality: It is not necessary to prove at least one year of uninterrupted domicile in the country to access the procedure for the recovery of Peruvian Nationality.
