Alejandro serves as a Senior Counsel for BLP in Guatemala. He specializes in the areas of Banking & Finance, Business Law, Dispute Resolution, and Real Estate & Hospitality.

After 40 years of extraordinary professional legal service, he is highly recognized not only for advising a large number of banking and financial institutions, national and international, in their formation, constitution, registration, and merger & acquisitions, but also for playing a key role in assisting various foreign entities in vital investment projects in Guatemala.

In Business Law, he has extensive experience advising on mergers and acquisitions of great importance, as well as in cross-border transactions, agreements between shareholders, corporate governance, and compliance.

In addition to being an arbitrator of the Commission for Conflict Resolution and Arbitration of the Chamber of Industry (CRECIG) and the Center for Arbitration and Conciliation (CENAC), he provides advice in high-level contentious proceedings, complex litigation, and arbitration. Likewise, he is distinguished for participating in the development, structuring, financing, and sale of innumerable high-value real estate projects.
