On August 3, 2023, the National Infrastructure Agency – ANI published the draft specifications for the award of the project whose main objective is the rehabilitation, improvement of the railway infrastructure, construction of the logistics infrastructure necessary to improve and consolidate the provision of the cargo transportation service from La Dorada (Caldas) to Chiriguaná (Cesar) and connect with the northern section concessioned by Ferrocarriles del Norte de Colombia – Fenoco SA, as well as carry out the fine-tuning of the rolling stock owned by the nation, and the maintenance and operation of the project’s rolling stock.
Given the importance of this project, the DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán infrastructure, projects and public law team prepared the following bulletin in which it presents the relevant information on this project.
It is expected that the administrative act of opening each of the processes will take place on December 15, 2023 and that the contract will be awarded on May 23, 2024.
