On April 20, 2022, the “Decree amending and adding various provisions of the Mining Law” was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, establishing the date for its entry into force the day after its publication.

Through said Decree, a declaration of public utility is established with regard to the exploration, exploitation, benefit, use and the rest of the lithium value chains, being exclusively in charge of the State. In this way, said activities will be in charge of the decentralized public body created for such purposes by the Federal Executive, for which it has a term of 90 working days to issue the instrument of creation of the aforementioned decentralized public body.
