With the municipalities putting pressure on the Federal Government and Congress, the President of the Republic published Provisional Measure No. 1,167 on March 31, in order to extend the new law’s effectiveness until December 31. The new Administrative Procurement and Contracts Law (Law n.º 14.133/2021) was published two years ago and should have entered into force on April 1st.
