Taxes for Ukrainians After Their Relocation Abroad

Back to All Thought Leadership

We are thrilled to announce the completion of our latest pro bono project: free electronic guides on the taxation of Ukrainian IDPs both in Ukraine and in their countries of actual residence.

We have developed this valuable resource in collaboration with esteemed colleagues from INTEGRITES (Ukraine, Kazakhstan) Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek (Germany), Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka (DZP) (Poland), Advokátska kancelária CREDIS Law (Slovakia), and Garrigues (Spain).

The result is a bilingual guide covering the five jurisdictions with the highest number of registered Ukrainian refugees: Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Spain. It provides clear explanations, in plain language, about tax residency, potential double taxation risks, personal income tax compliance duties, and registration with relevant state authorities.

We believe that these guides will serve as a vital source of initial legal advice for our compatriots who face various challenges after relocating abroad.

Discover the guide in English and Ukrainian here.
