McAndrews, Held & Malloy is pleased to announce the election of Matthew Marrone and Ryan Pianetto to Shareholders.

  • Matt practices in all areas of intellectual property law, focusing on litigation and transactional work. He has experience preparing and prosecuting numerous patent applications on diverse technologies such as quantum computing, aviation systems, medical devices, e-commerce platforms, and more. In addition to his work at the firm, Matt holds leadership positions at the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC). He also acts as an Industry Advisor to the P33 Quantum Council and leads McAndrews’ collaboration with Duality, the nation’s first accelerator exclusively for quantum companies.

  • Ryan represents clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent litigation, patent and trademark prosecution, due diligence, transactions, and counseling. In litigation, he represents clients in proceedings before U.S. District Courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Ryan also prepares and prosecutes patents for clients ranging from individual inventors to Fortune 500 companies, and provides strategic counsel on securing long-term intellectual property protection.
