In its judgment of October 31, 2023, the Federal Administrative Court confirms that Sunrise (formerly UPC) abused its market dominance by refusing to supply Swisscom with broadcasts of live ice hockey games. The Court imposes a fine in the amount of CHF 29.1 million on Sunrise.
The Swiss Competition Commission had opened an investigation against Sunrise in 2017. This investigation was initiated following an intervention by Swisscom.
