Partner and senior associate appointments in London and New York augment Matheson’s growing Corporate M&A Group

Matheson, Ireland’s largest law firm, is enhancing its overseas presence in both London and New York with the announcement today of a number of senior moves within its market-leading Corporate M&A practice area.  Corporate partner Sandra Lord is moving to a role in Matheson’s growing London team, while Corporate partner David Jones will move to its New York office.  David will be joined in New York by senior associate, Eoin Shiel, from Matheson’s Financial Institutions Group.

Sandra, David and Eoin are part of Matheson’s successful Corporate and Commercial Department.  Earlier this year, Matheson was recognised as the number one Irish law firm for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) by deal volume for 2021, by leading publication Mergermarket.

Michael Jackson, Managing Partner of Matheson said, “As Ireland’s top performing M&A firm for 2021, these new appointments further underline our strong commitment to investing in our people and in our overseas operations. Building on our longstanding presence in London and New York, these moves continue to further our growth in what are two key locations for Matheson and enhance the already comprehensive Corporate M&A offering provided to our clients and their businesses in the UK and the US.

With a wealth of experience across its six partner-led offices worldwide and a dedicated 175-person Corporate Department, Matheson has some of the most experienced M&A lawyers in Ireland.  Its Corporate Department, led by 30 partners, has unparalleled experience in managing complex and innovative domestic and international corporate transactions across all industry sectors.
