Bogotá, March 1; Posse Herrera Ruiz is pleased to announce that, as part of its continuous growth and evolution, it has appointed three new partners and three new directors. These appointments recognize the professional merits, leadership, and personal qualities of each promoted professional and address the demands of our clients.

The promotion of partners and directors in the areas of arbitration, environmental law, international trade, finance, and resolution of commercial and corporate conflicts reflects the dynamism and leadership of the firm in providing comprehensive high-quality legal services.

Erika Serrano, with over 11 years of experience in Natural Resources and Environmental Law, has demonstrated mastery in both the public and private sectors, enriching the team and clients with her environmental perspective. Erika’s appointment not only recognizes her career but is also part of the firm’s strategy to strengthen issues that are increasingly critical to our clients.

Estefanía Ponce, with more than 15 years dedicated to dispute resolution and international arbitration, will lead from Barranquilla, contributing her international vision and commitment to the firm’s growth. Estefanía strengthens our regional presence in the Caribbean Coast and is an integral part of our regional growth strategy, providing our clients with top-notch legal services in their cities.

Maria Paula Sánchez, who assumed the role of Customs and International Trade Area Director in 2021, joins the partners’ group, bringing more than 13 years of experience to further consolidate the area as a market leader. With Maria Paula’s appointment, the Medellín office now has two partners, contributing to the consolidation of Posse Herrera Ruiz in the local market.
The promotion of new partners is complemented by the appointment of three new directors:

Juan José Huertas, with over 10 years of experience in Colombia and the United States in Financial Law and Capital Markets, will lead as a director, specializing in complex financing transactions for clients from various industries.

María Isabel Osorio has had a successful career defending our clients’ rights in complex litigation. With 20 years of experience in conflict resolution and private law consulting, she exemplifies Posse Herrera Ruiz’s commitment to providing top-quality conflict resolution assistance. María Isabel is an expert in disputes related to distribution schemes, contract terminations, and cases of abuse of rights.

Pedro Miguel Álvarez, focused on conflict resolution, will ascend to director, bringing his extensive experience in commercial litigation and corporate conflicts. Pedro’s appointment is a recognition of his positioning as an expert in corporate matters in the local market. These two appointments are part of the strengthening of the Conflict Resolution area, a market leader.
