Robert Němec, a partner at PRK Partners, elected as President of the Czech Bar Association

Robert Němec, a partner at PRK Partners (Lex Mundi member firm for the Czech Republic), was unanimously elected as President of the Czech Bar Association on 3 November 2021. For the past six years Robert acted as one of the vice-presidents of the Association and, in this year’s elections, received a record amount of votes from his peers.

 

Robert Němec is a partner at PRK Partners and head of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. Aside from his focus on dispute resolution and arbitration, he also specializes in banking, M&A, insolvency and restructuring. He is also an arbitrator with the Vienna International Arbitral Centre and the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. Robert is a member of the IBA and is consistently recognized as one of the leading practitioners in his field.

 

“I hope that the Czech bar Association will continue to be perceived by its members as a professional organization which almost religiously stands by its independence and consistently insists on compliance with the law and legal ethics, as well as an organization, which is founded on the principles of legal assistance, attorney-client privilege, collegiality and the dignity of the legal profession,” Robert Němec says.
