Guzmán Ariza announced the promotions of Marianne Olivares and Pamela Benzán Arbaje on 20 June.

Olivares has 10 years of experience working in the real estate, tourism and litigation areas at the firm’s offices in Bávaro-Punta Cana, La Romana and Casa de Campo. Among her clients are real estate developers, hotels and tourist complexes located in the Dominican Republic’s eastern region. She joined Guzmán Ariza as a paralegal back in 2012.

Newly minted partner Benzán, who works at the firm’s Santo Domingo office, has advised on M&A, project finance and restructuring deals. She joined the firm as an associate back in 2016, following four years at local firm Alburqueque.

Fabio Guzmán Ariza, president of the firm, says that the new promotions serve as recognition of the hard work of the outfit’s lawyers. “Throughout their tenure, Marianne and Pamela have showcased a profound alignment with our values of integrity, client service, excellence, teamwork and innovation, which has been at the core of the firm’s practice for nearly a century,” he comments.
