On August 25, 2023, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, through the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter, the “ANPD“), ordered the publication of the Draft Regulation of Law No. 29733, Law on Protection of Personal Data, to receive contributions, comments and / or suggestions from citizens until September 25 of the current year.
Through the new Regulation, it seeks to fully renew the current regulation of 2013, introducing improvements to it in order to contribute to the defense of the protection of personal data against the irruption of digital technologies, electronic commerce, artificial intelligence, the profiling of personal data, among others.
