This Tuesday, April 11, the campaign for the presentation of the Personal Income Tax (“IRPF”) 2022 and the Wealth Tax (“IP“) 2022 has begun in Spain, which will run until June 30, 2023 (until June 27 in case of direct debit of the payment).
The situation of each taxpayer must be analyzed individually and attending, especially, to the regional regulations applicable both in Personal Income Tax and IP, verifying all those measures that may be beneficial according to the particular circumstances of each taxpayer. As an example, taxpayers with tax residence in the Community of Madrid and taxpayers not resident in Spain who have most of their assets in that Community can apply the bonus of the 100% quota in the IP, without prejudice to the fact that the obligation to file the declaration for purely informative purposes when the net worth exceeds the amount of € 2,000,000 remains.
