The new Securities Markets and Investment Services Law (“LMV”) was published in the Official State Gazette on March 18 and will enter into force on April 7.
The sixth final provision of the LMV modifies the Capital Companies Law approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2010, of July 2 (“ LSC ”), to introduce for the first time in Spain a series of articles (new articles 535 bis to 535 d) intended solely for the regulation of listed companies with the purpose of acquisition (“ SPAC ” for its acronym in English) .
This flash focuses exclusively on the new regulation of the SPACs, without going into analyzing other relevant novelties of the LMV.
